Join us for a new experience welcoming new comers and those wishing to practice their English speaking skills on the trails and walkways, promoting a welcoming, open outdoor space for all.

ABOUT THE HIKE

The Rainbow Routes Association in Partnership with the Greater Sudbury Public Library will he hosting English Conversations on the trails to help new comers practice their English speaking skills surrounded by nature. All are welcome.

When: Saturday, April 27, 2023, 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., arrive by 10:00a.m. for registration.

Meet location: Grace Hartman Amphitheatre in Bell Park

Parking: York Street entrance to Bell Park, off of Paris Street.

Transit: Route 1S leaves the downtown terminal at 9:54 a.m. and arrives at the York street stop at 10:07 p.m. Cash fare to use City of Sudbury Bus: $4.00. Note: Buses leave from downtown to Bell Park every 30 minutes. Walking from downtown to the Grace Hartman Amphitheatre is 31 minutes.

Level of Difficulty: Easy to moderate. Be prepared for stair climbing, though ramps are also accessible.

Trail Surface: Boardwalk, natural, paved.

Length: 1.5 - 2 km

Hike leaders: Muffie McIntosh & Angela Miller-Bruce

Registration required once you arrive. Please arrive at 10:00 a.m. in order to allow for participants to register prior to the hike start. Though you may register in advance online as an alternative option.

Our hikes will generally accommodate anyone able to walk on outdoor trails as per the above details. You'll find organizers wearing RRA dark blue vests at the event.
