Little Explorers Family Forest School at Snow Day

  • Grace Hartman Amphitheatre, Bell Park Paris Street Greater Sudbury, ON, P3E 3B6 Canada (map)

Join Rainbow Routes & Sudbury Forest School for a mini session with Jennifer Labelle, Child and Nature Alliance of Canada certified nature school practitioner.  Bring the kids out for Snow Day with the City of Greater Sudbury at Bell Park for a day of winter fun in nature.  Little Explorers is a mini forest school session designed for children ages 4 - 12 (younger and older siblings welcome too) where kids and their grown-ups explore, play, and learn together in nature.

What is Forest School?

Forest School is an outdoor learning approach that puts nature and play at the centre of learning.  It's rooted in the idea that children are innately curious, capable, and competent learners.  Through play-based, child-led discovery, kids deepen their connection with land, follow their interests, grow confidence, creativity and resilience.  Sessions are guided by inquiry, not rigid instruction, and encourage exploration, wonder, and meaningful engagement with the natural world!

**IMPORTANT**

This session is for children and their grown-ups to participate together.  Parents or guardians must stay with and are responsible for their own children throughout the experience.  This is a shared learning and play experience, parents are not spectators but partners in the fun!
