It’s almost time for Rainbow Routes 9th Annual Sudbury Camino!
What is the Sudbury Camino?
Inspired by the famous El Camino de Santiago pilgrimage routes, the Sudbury Camino is an annual challenge initiated by Rainbow Routes Association. This on-foot journey invites participants to push their limits while discovering our community and the natural environments that surround it.
How long is the Sudbury Camino?
Choose your own adventure! Participants can select a starting point and pace that matches the experience they are looking for. This years Sudbury Camino will span 30km across the City of Greater Sudbury. Starting points will be be announced soon, stay tuned!
Where is the Sudbury Camino?
This challenge offers a Camino-like experience, inviting participants to explore Greater Sudbury’s portion of the Trans Canada Trial. Participants will discover this route using the Camino Passport which is included in registration. The passport provides both a detailed map and written navigation directions to guide you. The route will be available in the passport that is available with purchase to the event.
How do I sign up for the event and what time does it start?
Event registration and starting times will be announced soon, stay tuned!
What if I run out of water along the route?
Don’t worry, we will have 6 water stations set up along the route. Make sure to bring your own reusable water bottle to fill up to decrease the amount of waste used along the trail.
I’d love to sponsor a water table at the event how do I go about doing that?
That’s awesome news! We would love to have you out there with us. If you would like to sponsor one of our six water tables please contact Cindy at cindy.crocker@rainbowroutes.com. We encourage you to staff the table, put up your signage and display your company proudly all while cheering on our participants!
What if I’m interested in volunteering?
We are always looking for volunteers to help us on the day of the Camino. From help at the water tables, to safety on the trails, we have plenty of ways for you to help out. Volunteering for the Camino also goes towards Secondary school volunteer hours. Fill out our form and we will be in contact with you soon!
