About the Walk

You’ve looked to the past on a history walk, now come travel to the future. Join us as we walk around downtown Sudbury and reimagine the possible.  We will be stopping at a few interest points to view some images of possible alternatives, and exercise our imaginations with interactive activities inspired by the book ‘How to Fall in Love with the Future: a Time Traveller’s Guide to Changing the World’, by Rob Hopkins.

After the walk, you are invited to a workshop to continue imagining together, with reflections, art and play with transparencies.  Space is limited for the workshop, so please do let us know in the form if you are planning to attend this portion.

Hike Details:

-When: Saturday, November 28, 2026

-Time: 5:30 - 6:30PM, following by a workshop, 6:30 - 7:30PM

-Distance: 1 km

-Meet: YMCA (140 Durham)

-Transit: Take any GOVA to the downtown transit terminal for a quick walk over.

-Parking: Free street parking available downtown after 6pm.  Look at parking options and fees here.

-Dress: Dress for the weather and to keep warm during stops.

-Difficulty: Easy
