About the Hike

Join us in partnership with the Greater Sudbury Police Association on September 22nd for our Stargazing Walk part of the TRC Relay.

We will be exploring the New Sudbury Historical Trail at night, discovering Peter the Otter and Mini Stonehenge.

Bring comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a headlight and water. Come solo or with a friend and enjoy an evening out with us out on the trail.

All ages and abilities welcomed.

When: Tuesday, September 22, 2026

Time: 8:30 p.m - 10:00 p.m   (Please arrive 15 minutes early for registration)

Meeting Point: Dr. Diamond Periodontics --- 300 Lasalle Blvd. 

Trail: New Sudbury Historical Trail

Length: 3 - 4 km

Duration: 1.5 hours

Terrain: Crushed gravel

Trail Difficulty - Easy

Dress Code: Comfortable hiking shoes recommended, and please dress for the weather. Bring water. Headlights welcomed!

Hike Type: This will be a slower walk along the trails, appreciating our trails at night

Hike Leaders: Myfawny McIntosh and Timothy LaPlante

Transit passengers: From the downtown terminal take the bus #1N Mainline to New Sudbury, at 8:22p.m and get off at Lasalle/Notre Dame stop around 8:29 p.m.
