Join us for our March English Conversations on the Trail! Peter Beckett and Avery Morin will lead us on a loop around Bennett Lake, highlighting the natural beauty and unique features our outdoor spaces have to offer during the winter season. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get active, enjoy the fresh air, and connect with nature. Whether you're new to snowshoeing or a seasoned winter explorer, we’d love to have you join us for this event!
We will meet at the trail sign at the back of the Ben Avery car parking lot (Lot G). We will walk south on the Yellow Trail to the junction of the Blue Trail and transverse the ridge along the south shore of Bennett Lake. We will stop at lookouts to view Lake Laurentian and Bennett Lake and rest at the student-donated benches that overlook the largest peatland in the Greenspace. When we reach Loach’s Road we will return to the starting point in the Ben Avery parking lot. It is anticipated that snowshoes will help walking. Students are especially welcome.
We’ll have some snowshoes available to use, but if you have your own, please bring them! You can also borrow snowshoes from your local library.
