Join Rainbow Routes in partnership with Ramakko’s Source for Adventure, for a very special English Conversations on the Trail, as we hear from a representative from Columbia Sportswear Company on how to properly layer for the winter season.  Get tips on what to wear before heading out on the trails.  

English Conversations on the Trails, is a hike series led by the Rainbow Routes Association and Greater Sudbury Public Library. Our hikes aim to create inclusive experiences on local trails and walkways, promoting accessible outdoor recreation opportunities.

Time: 11:00 AM -1:00 PM

Meeting place: Kinsmen Sports Complex Parking lot - 1 Mikkola Road Lively 

Distance: 4 km

Difficulty: Moderate/Medium

Terrain: Bridges, natural, snow packed, stairs 

Dress: Dress for the weather, including warm jacket, warm boots with good grips (consider crampons), mitts/gloves, warm pants (snow pants)

Transit: Take the 101 (Lively to Naughton) from Downtown Transit Hub at 10:15 A.M. to the Mikkola and Hillcrest stop at 10:43 A.M.   Head East on Hillcrest Drive to Mikkola Road, turn left on Mikkola Road.  It is approximately a two minute walk from the bus stop to the meeting location.
