Join the English Conversations on the Trails, a hike series led by the Rainbow Routes Association and Greater Sudbury Public Library. Our hikes aim to create inclusive experiences on local trails and walkways, promoting accessible outdoor recreation opportunities.
Come join us on Saturday July 26, 2025 as we continue our training for the 2025 Camino. We will be hiking along the Bell Park Boardwalk. While out on the trail, we will be engaging in urban poling, a form of Nordic walking. Both experienced and new participants are welcome. This hike will be led by Myfawny McIntosh, who will be providing instructions on proper poling techniques.
*Urban poles will be provided upon request to individuals aged 10 and above. Please indicate below if you will require them at least 48 hours prior to hike.
Hike Details
When: Saturday July 26, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM (please arrive 20 minutes early at 8:40 AM to ensure everyone has their own set of poles)
Meeting place: We will be meeting at the Parking lots off of York Street
Parking: Parking is available at the Parking lots off of York Street
Trail: Bell Park Boardwalk
Trail Surface: Paved, Boardwalk
Length: 6-8 km (there and back)
Dress: A good pair of closed toed walking shoes is recommended. Dress appropriate for the weather, and don't forget to bring your water!!

Bus Info: GOVA transit route #1s Main Line to South End at 8:30 AM to the York Street stop at 8:35 AM. Walking time is approximately 1 minute to the York Street Parking lot.
