New trail coming soon!
Rainbow Routes Association is excited to share its newest trail development initiative.
This new multi-use trail will start at the Quinn Street Cul-de-Sac and serpentine its way up to the Dynamic Earth site. This unique trail will offer great opportunities for physical activity on a barrier-free trail that leads up to the Big Nickel, offering stunning views of Greater Sudbury. The trail will showcase unique infrastructure, interpretive signage, and more!
Why invest in this trail?
- This trail will provide the Gatchell community with a unique trail for outdoor play. The 2010 Green Space Advisory Panel identified the Sudbury's West End as a severely parkland deficient neighbourhood.
- Finally, there will be a barrier-free and legitimate active transportation infrastructure that is available for people visiting Dynamic Earth, Canada’s 8th largest science centre.
- Because non-motorized trails are vital to community well-being by providing all people with active, healthy, and affordable recreation and transportation opportunities.
Development of the trail is well underway, but Rainbow Routes Association still needs further financial support from the community. We are inviting local businesses and organizations to become official trail sponsors. Your support will be uniquely recognized on trail signage and webpage promotion. Beyond all of the tangible sponsor benefits, the true recognition for your support will be visible through the countless number of people who enjoy the trail and in knowing that your contribution led to a healthier and happier Greater Sudbury.
